Each year, Microlumbia conducts consulting project with various microfinance and impact investing related organizations around the world.
Microlumbia’s student consulting team works with organizations to identify and scope advisory projects that are subsequently executed by fellow Columbia MBA students. These students provide research and recommendations from both New York and on-site at international client locations. Together, we work closely with management to understand underlying issues and to design projects with well-defined deliverables. Projects are typically three months long and coincide with the Fall (September through January) or Spring (February through May) semesters.
Student consultants are selected by Microlumbia and Pangea student boards through an application process that matches them to projects based on past work experience, skills, and interests. Each team is led by a project manager to ensure deliverables meet client needs, objectives, and internal quality standards.
